Image Line’s FL Studio is a highly-developed digital audio workshop station. Although it’s primarily geared towards electronic music production, it’s great for any type of audio project.
GanttProject's claim to fame is simplicity and if you specify during installation, as shown in Figure C, it will open MS Project files. It's free and supports versions for Windows, Mac OS X,. Gantt Project is a great bit of software that saved my bacon. I had an urgent proposal to get out and needed a project plan and resource plan. I purchased MS Project but it wouldn't load and Microsoft's help was exasperating! I found Gantt Project, downloaded it and was up and running in minutes. Apache OpenOffice became an incubator project on June 01, 2011. Prior to that date the OpenOffice.org project was mainly driven by Sun Microsystems and Oracle. ProjectLibre (was OpenProj) is a desktop replacement of Microsoft Project, project management software. ProjectLibre has equivalent functionality, a familiar user interface and even opens existing MSProject files. ProjectLibre is interoperable with Project, with a Gantt Chart and PERT chart. Project should now begin downloading. Follow the prompts in Step 2 to complete the installation. Step 2: Install Project. Depending on your browser, select Run (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox). If you see the User Account Control prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?

FL Studio is a powerful one-stop-shop for sound recording and music production.
FL Studio software comes in four editions, the prices of which correspond to the available function. With the better editions, you get to edit audio clips, access the full version of the DirectWave sampler, and more. With its progressing feature sets, FL Studio is worth the money, and you'll get lifetime free updates from the developer.
The vector-based interface is easy to read, scalable across displays, and supports multitouch. The Browser, Channel Rack, and the Pattern list contain all the functions from the program.
The main arranging window is the Playlist, where you can bring up the step sequencer and piano roll for closer editing.
Recording requires several clicks, and as you work, you can switch between pattern and song modes to fine tune your tracks.
FL Studio comes with included instruments, but they tend to be too simplistic. However, with some of the built-in effects, it’s possible to make them sound better.
Where can you run this program?
FL Studio runs on macOS 10.11 and Windows 8, or later versions. There are mobile options for iOS and Android, too.
Is there a better alternative?
Yes, if you’re a professional, LMMS is the best choice out there. Ableton Live offers similar features to FL Studio. Ardour and AudioTool are great free alternatives.
Our take
Although the program comes with some clear limitations, it can do wonders and create complex, well-produced pieces of music from a single interface.
Should you download it?
Yes, if you have some experience with such programs already. The UI features a learning curve that’s not ideal for beginners.

Mirrored installation
If you have a working Freenet installation directory that you have mirroredfrom one Unix machine to another (e.g. via rsync or unison), enabling themirrored installation is not difficult. Nothing in a Freenet installationcares about its host's IP address; it can't, or Freenet would fail onmachines that get IP addresses from a DHCP pool.
All you actually need to do is tell the system you've mirrored to that itshould start the Freenet proxy daemon for you on boot. Do crontab -lon the source machine, find the line that is tagged 'FREENET AUTOSTART' andadd that to your crontab on the mirrored machine.
However: each installation has a unique identity key generated atinstallation time. If you try to run two instances with the same identity atthe same time, both proxy demons will become confused and upset. Don't dothis!
Using Freenet

So it's running, what do I do?
When the installer closes, it should open a browser window pointing to thefirst-time wizard. Here you can configure basic settings, and then startusing Freenet. You can access Freenet later on via the system tray menu (bottom right on the screen), or use the Browse Freenet shortcut on thedesktop and/or start menu. If it doesn't work, openhttp://127.0.0.1:8888/ in your web browser.
For best security you should use a separate browser for Freenet, preferablyin privacy mode. On Windows, the system tray menu will try to use Chrome inincognito mode if possible. Internet Explorer does not work well withFreenet, Firefox and Opera are widely used.
If you know anyone running Freenet, you can improve your security and help tobuild a robust network by connecting to their node. First, open the Add afriend page. You and your friend shouldeach download their 'node reference'. Send the file to the other person,and add his node reference using the form at the bottom of the page. Whenboth are added, your friend's node should show up on the Friends page,probably as 'CONNECTED' or 'BUSY'. You can set a name for your node on theconfig page to make it easier to see who it is. Only add nodes run by peopleyou actually know, whether online or offline, as adding total strangersharms performance and does not improve security much (they could be the badguys!).

So I'm connected, what do I do?
Freenet itself includes anonymous websites ('freesites'), filesharing,searching, and more, but you can also use third party applications for chat,filesharing, to help you upload freesites, etc.

Hardware requirements
Generally a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM should be fine. Freenet will run onsmaller systems, but it uses at least 128MB of RAM, so unless the system doesnothing else it will struggle in less than 512MB. However, the processor isless of a problem, people have been known to run it on 400MHz Pentium 2's orATOM's, although downloads and browsing would be slow.
Freenet will use a portion of your disk for storing data, you can configurethis to any size from 100MB upwards, but we recommend at least 1GB. Freenetalso uses disk space for your downloads. Freenet's memory usage isapproximately 256MB plus 400kB for every 2GB of datastore.

Upgrading
Freenet provides an upgrade-over-Freenet mechanism: It will keep itself up todate automatically from other Freenet nodes, and this will normally work evenif it is unable to route to them due to them being too new. This is anonymousand secure, and we recommend people use it. However, if something is severelybroken, you can upgrade your node manually from our servers:
- Windows users can upgrade to the latest-stable Freenet release by running 'update.cmd' in the Freenet directory.
- OS X, GNU/Linux, or other POSIX users may upgrade by running the update.sh shell script in the Freenet directory.
Add friends (or connect to strangers)
If you know other people who also use Freenet, you can add them as Friends.This will make you safer against attacks on Freenet Project infrastructure(the seednodes).
Once you are connected to 5 or more friends, you can enable high security mode.In high security mode Freenet will only connect to your friends.This makes your usage of Freenet almost undetectable,but you are still able to access the rest of the network through your friends' friends friends ....
You don't have to add friends right now.If you use a 'low' or 'normal' security level Freenet will automatically connect to strangers and will work just fine.However, your (or someone else's) government may be able to find out who you are with enough effort. Be careful!
